The Good Thing About Back Pain
Adapted from Yoga for Back Care with Rodney Yee

Your back hurts. How should you respond? Here's the good thing about back pain: It is information you can use. It's your body's way of saying that it is time to change your habits. The practice of yoga encourages us to explore that pain and use it as a way to understand our body and our habits.

One of the most common reasons for back pain is that we are more sedentary these days. Many of us spend so much time sitting in a chair that our backs become out of alignment. With correct posture and back care you can prevent the muscular tension in your back.

Yoga for Back Care will create strength, flexibility and increased range of motion. It also includes restorative poses that will help you feel more connected with your environment, and ready to re-enter the day with increased awareness, better posture, more strength and less pain.
