Urinary tract infections of course can be painful and dangerous, as the problem can travel to the kidneys, but here is some comfort food that may actually help to ease the symptoms.
Cranberry Dessert:
Cranberries are too sour to eat raw, but try this dessert to boost your system:
2 Granny Smith Apples
1 cup cranberries
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
150 gms butter
150 ml rolled oats
1/4 cup raisins
Mix the raisins, oats and butter together and set aside. Chop the apple into small chunks. Place the apple and the cranberries in a pot with the cinnamon and apple juice. Cook together until the apples and cranberries are soft. Place in an ovenproof dish. Cover with the oat and raisin mixture, place under the grill until the oats are brown.
Serve with cream or custard. ;)
