Lemon Lavender Foot Scrub
Wonderful way to soothe your tired aching feet!
1/4 cup Epsom salts
1/2 cup sea salt
2 oz. apricot kernel oil
10 drops lemon essential oil
20 drops lavender essential oil
2 T. chopped lemon zest
3 dried lavender buds, seeds removed from twigs
You'll also need a glass bowl for the scrub, a plastic tub large enough to
soak both of your feet at once, a large fluffy towel and a roll of plastic
wrap.
Mix all of the ingredients in a glass bowl. Sit down in a comfortable low
chair and soak your feet in a plastic tub filled with warm water for about
10 minutes. Dry with the towel and then place the towel on the floor under
your feet. Dip your fingers into the mixture and take a small scoop just
enough to rub a small section. You don't want to end up with too much of the
scrub in your hand at one time.
Working on small areas, give yourself a thorough foot massage with the mixture. Be sure to concentrate on your heels and other rough patches. If you have some time to spare, wrap saran plastic wrap around your feet and tuck them into a towel.
You own body temperature will create a mini heater that will allow the oils to soak in
even further. After you've gently massages both of your feet into smoothness, rinse your feet in a plastic tub and pat dry.
Now is the perfect time to apply the lotion of your choice to help retain the smoothness.
