Here's some GREAT TIPS to hopefully ward off those terrible PMS symptoms each month. Have the following salad for lunch for several days before the onset of your period. All the leaves have diuretic qualities and the flowers are both attractive and healthy. 8 dandelion leaves 1/2 bunch of mustard greens 250 ml alfalfa sprouts A small cucumber Sprinkle liberally with borage ( Borago officinalis) flowers and add a few marigold ( Calendula officinalis) petals and some evening primrose ( Oenothera biennis) flowers. In addition to this: Eat a fresh-food vegetarian diet if possible. Be aware of plastic wrapped food, as research has shown that plastic leaches out certain hormones that affect the food that it is covering. Eat only free-range meat if you are eating meat as many hormones are fed to animals to fatten them up! Imagine what we would look like if we ate all those hormones to fatten us up! Add soy to your diet, as soya contains phyto [plant] oestrogens. Chamomile tea is a great relaxant and also has some diuretic properties. As women, we go through very different moods during each month. Recognize that you do need to rest and be nurtured when suffering from PMS and respect your bodies' needs. Mild exercise is always good for you, and will assist in reducing the amount of water you retain. Try it ladies... it works! |
