Enjoy a remarkable day on the links at the Hill Country Golf Club. Set on 170 acres, this Arthur Hills-designed championship course is both beautiful and challenging. Surrounded by rolling meadows, steep hillsides, wooded ravines, tree-shaded plateaus and sparkling lakes, this on-property course has been listed among the world’s “50 Best Golf Resorts” by Conde Naste Traveler Magazine. Golf lessons, pro shop, driving range and clubhouse complete the experience.
For fun in the sun, there is no place like Hyatt Hill Country's four-acre water area. Created for water spirits of all ages, our specially designed park is complete with a 950-foot Ramblin River for floating, two swimming pools, separated by a cascading waterfall and two outdoor spas (ADA lift is available). River tubes, water volleyballs and basketballs are available. After picking up an inner tube at the mouth of a limestone tunnel, Ramblin River floaters waft down from the active pool into the floating waterway. Along the journey the current varies from brisk to lazy, allowing riders to enjoy the Hill Country scenery and landscaping. After an optional detour into the wading pool, floaters exit the Ramblin River at the sundeck, which is perfect for sunbathing.
The resort’s Health Club features cardio equipment, recumbent bikes, Precor cross-training machines, Paramount workout equipment (including a weight-assisted chin dip and ab roller machines), dumb-bells, decline and flat benches, treadmills, Stair Masters and Life Cycles. Other sporting options include basketball, three hard surface tennis courts (one lit for evening play), croquet, ping-pong, land and water volleyball, horseshoes, tetherball, and bicycling. For the kids, there is Camp Hyatt or the video arcade.
Texas is the crossroads of many different plant and physiographic regions. Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort sits at the junction of two of the ten popularly recognized distinct vegetative areas found in the state: the Rio Grande Plains and the Texas Hill country, which accounts for the wide variety of native plants growing along the Nature Trail. Experience the charm of a Hill Country ranch house: the exposed wood beams and wood-trimmed porches, panoramic views, carved maple beds with quilts. Only 20 minutes from San Antonio's airport, a rolling landscape welcomes you to this 200-acre wooded retreat, inspired by the essence of the Texas Hill Country. Take in a rodeo or hop in the saddle at a local dude ranch.
When it comes to food, many options are available. Savor authentic Hill Country cuisine at Antlers Lounge, hearty sandwiches at our General Store and casual fare at Springhouse Cafe. Sit a spell at Aunt Mary's Porch and enjoy a landscape of rolling hills while sipping your favorite beverage. Saddle up to the 56-foot carved wood and copper bar at Charlie's Long Bar or practice your putting, while snacking at the Cactus Oak Tavern.
