A typical day at Green Mountain at Fox Run starts around 7am with an optional pre-breakfast walk on a nearby trail or on the landscaped walking track. Breakfast starts at 7:45am where you will choose from an array of items on the breakfast buffet - including hot 10-grain cereal, fresh melon, bagels or homemade Morning Glory Muffins - and enjoy a view of the Green Mountains from your table. Next, the daily fitness walk and Rockport Walking Fitness test in the great outdoors will leave you infused with fresh mountain air. Around 10am you will start your fitness activities from the wide variety available. Next, a workshop will be offered to discuss strategies for fitness and weight loss. Lunch might be vegetarian lasagna with a seasonal salad and homemade banana bread or a generous potion of Thai chicken salad with a tropical fruit cup.
The afternoon holds several educational workshops and fitness classes for everyone. An optional snack might be crudites with a low-fat dip, fresh fruit or our low-fat scones. At 5pm, the fitness equipment room is open, or personal training sessions are available until dinner time. Also a private session with the psychologist, dietitian or a private tennis or snowshoeing lesson. At 6pm, you'll have a relaxing dinner with fellow participants. The evening menu could be grilled salmon with red pepper, corn and mandarin salsa, a baked potato, green salad with blue cheese dressing and fresh blueberry crisp. After an evening Tai Chi, Yoga class, or excursion into nearby Weston, if you like you can enjoy a snack with friends in the Okemo Room and start learning how eating can make you thin.
