Clear your mind, cleanse your body, and soothe your soul. Embrace Yourself!
Yoga and meditation start the day to relax the body and clear the mind before breakfast. Scheduled treatments accent a day spent between the pool, steam and sauna, gym, exploring the nature trails and contemplating the labyrinth; for those who decide to do more than just ‘be’. After lunch you can get back to the lap of luxury and build up an appetite for the associated evening activity and gourmet dining. Relaxing activities conclude the evenings.
Nutrition is seen as a key factor to physical and emotional well-being. At Elemental Embrace the chef specially prepares wholesome meals and those of you on weight loss and detoxifying programmers are supported. Supplements are administered by our resident Ayurvedic Doctors (Vaidyas).
Conceived in India and practiced for over 5,000 years, the Sanskrit word ‘Ayurveda’ literally translates to the ‘Science of Life’. Despite being referred to as the world’s most ancient system of health care, Ayurveda is much more than a physical science or system of healing. It is better understood as a lifestyle, which aims to guide individuals, to live in harmony both with their external environment and, more fundamentally; their essential selves.
Ayurveda identifies the human as a microcosm of the macrocosm; the universe. In this philosophy the rhythm of a human life is intimately connected with the rhythm of nature. When the individual is perfectly in tune with their natural state of being, a flow of creative and vital energy is established unifying the body, mind and spirit. Perfect health, longevity and a harmonious life are but a few of the manifestations of such a state.
Ayurveda teaches that the foundation of all material life can be identified in terms of the elements; Earth, Ether/Space, Fire, Water and Wind. These five elements hold the entire individual in stasis or equilibrium, through the three principle dynamic forces or ‘doshas’.
